The bright brick walls of the newly built school building stand out amongst the private homes that surround Haven Christian School. As students enter through the main doors, they start off their day by smiling and greeting the newest addition to our Haven family, BaekHo. The enthusiastic white puppy awaits the students’ arrival. BaekHo is not the only one who awaits the students. A group of hardworking, loving and genuine teachers wait for their students patiently, praying for their safe arrival.

Like every school, we at Haven have a variety of teachers who come from different backgrounds. While a majority of our teachers are from the United States, the bond between the American and    Korean teachers is truly amazing. As they spend time serving at Haven, they display endless patience, concern and devotion to their pupils. Students are able to interact and communicate with their teachers in a more friendly and open way, allowing the relationship between teacher and student to grow and develop.

Although it is very true that the teachers at Haven Christian School are hired to teach certain subjects, they go out of their way to help our students grow and mature into sons and daughters of God. Because glorifying and serving Jesus is always the first priority at HCS, the teachers are extremely passionate about help the lost come back to the Father. It is not just through their words and lessons, but also through their actions that we as students are truly able to witness God’s glory. The faculty that makes up the foundation of Haven Christian School are will to sacrifice and lay down at God’s feet anything and everything they own. Students are still astonished by the selfless attitudes the teachers demonstrate in their everyday lives.

In modern society, it can be extremely difficult to find teachers that show a true interest in their student’s well-being. The teachers at Haven do not ever hesitate to go above and beyond for their students. As a whole, the teachers and staff are offering all they have for the students. Most importantly, the teachers always have their eyes fixed on God. They show us love in ways that only God can make possible.

The students of Haven Christian School are able to walk through the front doors of our school building because they know they have a family of amazing teachers waiting for them.
